Hylozoic Parachute Test, 2010
17" x 25" framed archival inkjet print
This prototyped parchute will be used to lower rovers to the surface of unknown planets. The image was made inside of a wind tunnel using a camera capturing 15,000 frames a second. When it is released by the rover it will unfurl in several microseconds, and appear as many of the primal forms of life that the rover is searching to find.
